When dealing with online communities for children, safety is always a huge question for many parents. Because of this, we have put several safeguards in place to make Playnormous a fun and safe environment. For full information about our safety practices, please see the

Our Safety Features
- Playnormous users are not able to display personal information of any kind. We do not collect your child's real name or physical address.
- There are no username search features.
- If your child is 12 years old or younger, you or another parent/guardian must approve their request for membership before they receive full Playnormous privileges such as creating a username, Monster Profile and avatar.
- There are no chat features on Playnormous. No player, including parents and children, can directly contact another player on the Playnormous website.
- Monster Profiles are all password protected.
Our Recommendations for Online Safety
- Take a tour of the Playnormous site. Read about privacy, safety, membership and our features.
- Use the Playnormous site with your child. Encourage your kids to share their gameplay experience with you.
- Help your child create their Monster Profile. Create your own Parent Monster Profile too.
- Talk to your kids about how to create a safe and appropriate username. Never include part of your real name or physical address as your username. Never use vulgar language as part of your username.
- Talk to your child about how to protect their password. To keep their Monster Profile safe, passwords should never be given to others.
- Monitor your child's use online. Know how long your child is spending online and which sites he/she visits.
- Control your child's online activity using filters, timing software or keeping the computer in a common room.
- Although Playnormous has no chat features, it is always important to remind your child to never meet online friends in person. Online friends may not be who they say they are.
