At Playnormous, we are all about getting healthy the fun way! Sound too good to be true? Well, we think we've come up with the magic formula which can help you live a healthier life without getting bored. There are a lot of health sites for kids out there already, so why create Playnormous? Because most of these sites aren't that much fun. And those that are fun usually don't have good information that can help kids get healthier.

You can learn about health AND still have a great time by playing games and watching cool videos. Learning about health doesn't have to be boring. We are a team of great designers, programmers, and health experts. Mix us all together and voila-- you get the Playnormous website where we make health games fun.

This site has been designed for you, but don't forget the Playnormous site can be for anyone that wants to be healthy. Have an adult play a game with you and see how much they actually know about health.

We're cranking out games, adding features to our web site, and acting like a true Web 2.0 startup. It's great fun and extremely satisfying making something original, fun, and exciting for us as a company and for the kids who play our games. Doesn't everybody want to feel great about the work they do?

We have a monstrous need for talented people that would like to join the Playnormous team. We are looking for people who love to make games as much as we do. As Playnormous' President, it's my job to make sure that our people are well fed, happy, and get along with each other. At some places, that might mean building a wall between the artists and the programmers. Not here. Artists and programmers actually like each other here. Playnormous likes motivated individuals who add to the company's creative energy rather than depending on it. How else could we do such good work?

If you're a professional recruiter, save your dime.

WE NEED A PROGRAMMER. Knowing an Object Oriented programming language, having a solid understanding of good programming practices and an ability to work well within a creative team is a must. Prior experience programming in Flash is not a requirement, but it would a bonus for us.

WE NEED A MOST EXCELLENT ARTIST. A solid traditional 2D background and the ability to work well in a team environment is a necessity. Prior experience with Adobe's Creative Suite is preferred. Flash skills are not a requirement but all animation experience is helpful!

WE'RE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS. That means that if you're not already in Houston, you'll have to move here. We're five minutes from the worlds biggest medical center, so we get to work with some of the best medical experts around. That's one of the things that makes our games so effective with kids.
