Ever wonder what goes on inside of your computer? Playnormous iMacs have a special operating system, a monster-operated system!

A highly caffeinated monster is hard at work on the numbers while a pretty finned monster with long eyelashes keeps the files organized. On the cleanup crew is an anteater monster with a long snout who quickly vacuums out menacing viruses and rosy-cheeked nurse monsters who fix the bugs. The artists of the bunch include a lazy banjo playing GarageBand monster, a beret-toting iMovie director monster and an artist monster complete with paint brush who keeps all the colors flowing. Don’t forget the wide-mouthed CD burner and the camera monster at the top.



Iva used colored pencils and ink to depict what really goes on inside of one of our special Monster iMacs. The center pool, which shows the Playnomous Big Monster “surfing” the web, was created using torn magazines and paste to build a wave mosaic pattern. Coffee and diluted ink were also used to soften the background.
