Show it off.

v4veg-carrots

In my last post about in-game bonuses I mentioned that V for Vegetable is not just a new game because it’s our first action adventure game but because it’s also got tons of fun extras. Besides upgrade abilities for Runner Bean Bunny, you also get to display all the Colossal Carrots you’re able to capture in each level.

How many carrots could possibly be out there, you ask? Did you know they have a whole Carrot Museum in the UK?  Did you know there are white, even purple carrots?

Carrot rainbows.

Upon capturing the Colossal Carrot and returning it to Runner Bean Bunny’s garden, you get the opportunity to display your prized possessions. The image here just shows three of the many carrots you can collect. They’re huge, they’re big, they’re colossal, and they’re coming soon!

All new.

v4veg-bonus

V for Vegetable is not just a new game because it’s our first action adventure game. It’s also got tons of fun extras. For example, between levels, you can use in-game points to purchase upgrades for our hero, Runner Bean Bunny, in the next level.

How it works.

Upon capturing the Colossal Carrot in each level, you must exit the garden labyrinth and collect as many bonus carrots as you can.  When you finally escape with carrot in hand, you can spend these bonus carrots on upgrades.  Here are some of the cool bonuses to expect:

  • Upgrades for Runner Bean Bunny
    • Speed: Improves your acceleration; decreases the distance needed to reach top speed from a stopped position. Good for evading Hippobros.
    • Runner Bean Time: Increases the size of the Runner Bean Time meter, allows you to hold Runner Bean Time longer.
  • Consumable Items
    • Magic Seeds: Plant a seed to grow large veggies that can temporarily block the Hippobros’ path.
    • Eggplant Peel: Drop a slippery peel to throw Hippobros off balance.
    • Slippery Tomato Sauce: Get greasy to slip out of a Hippobros’ grip should he catch you. Passive ability.
    • Picnic Pail: Drop a tasty lunch pail that causes the Hippobros to stop and snack for a few seconds. An effective but expensive item.
    • Monster Cow Pie: Drop a huge pile of stinky manure to knock out Hippobros that get a whiff of it. An effective but expensive item.

Escaping the Hippobros is going to be so exciting and so much fun!  We can’t wait!

It’s a-maze-ing! maze

Because our upcoming game V for Vegetable is a veggie adventure game, you get to do more than just click on a flat board. In fact, you get to do a little roaming and exploring! Each level will be a different and more challenging maze you must complete.

Here’s an example of what level 2, aka Rhubarb Ranch, will look like.  Additional levels include Potato Pasture, Sierra Sugar Beets, Cucumber Corral, and many more.

As you get to each intersection, you must choose a path. Will you choose vegetable or non-vegetable? Hippobros, who are constantly on the chase, will let you know if you have chosen wisely…

Be on the lookout for additional posts about our newest game in the works, V for Vegetable!

Brotherhood of the Hippo. hippobros

Last week we told you all about our new hero, Runner Bean Bunny, and his quest to find his stolen Colossal Carrot in our latest health game V for Vegetable. Today we’re going to introduce to you exactly who stole that carrot: the Hippobros.

As you can guess, the Hippobros are a group of hippo-like monster brothers that live next door to our hero, Runner Bean Bunny. When they saw how amazing their neighbor’s garden looked, they immediately decided they just had to build their own.

Unfortunately, their lack of knowledge and organizational skills has resulted in the construction of a massive garden labyrinth of weeds, vegetables, and non-vegetables.  Thinking their garden was a mess because it lacked a great centerpiece, the Hippobros chose to top off their garden with a shiny centerpiece, Runner Bean Bunny’s Colossal Carrot.

Thus our journey begins as Runner Bean Bunny tries to reclaim his carrot and avoid the Hippobros who are desperate to catch him. We wish our new star luck on his quest!

From runner to butter bean.

runnerbeanbunny

Could our newest in-game character, Runner Bean Bunny, be any cuter? In our upcoming action adventure health game, V for Vegetable, Runner Bean Bunny is the star. Guide him through the garden maze created by his archenemies, the Hippobros, to retrieve his prized possession: a Colossal Carrot, that was stolen right out of his own garden.

Choices, choices.

What’s really fun about this character is that the choices you make really affect the gameplay. Specifically, vegetable / non-vegetable choices affect how quickly you can escape the Hippobros.

  • If Runner Bean Bunny runs into three non-vegetables during his quest…POW! He becomes Chubby Bean Bunny. This compromises his speed and drains your time.
  • If Chubby Bean Bunny runs into two more non-veggies…POW again! He becomes Blubbler Bean Bunny. As you can imagine, it’s now even harder to maneuver when you’re pretty much rolling down the lane.

V for Vegetable is going to be so fun. We can’t wait for the game to launch!
